Fed: Retailers disappointed with Labor's IR plans

Retailers say they're unhappy with KEVIN RUDD's proposed new industrial relations arrangements
for low paid workers.

Labor intends to tear up the current AWA's.

It'll remove awards for workers on over 100-thousand dollars a year .. who'll be able
to negotiate their own employment arrangements.

Workers earning less will either be protected by an award .. or covered by Labor's
safety net which guarantees minimum standards of employment.

SUZANNE WHITE from the Australia Retailers Association says they're disappointed the
new plan doesn't include an option to make individual agreements.
